BUILDING YOUR LIBRARY
Press H and Select Bip01:

Save Bip01 as a File

Open Character Tool and save Note Keys

Once you have a Library built up, you can pick and choose what animation you want to use.

LOADING ANIMATIONS FROM YOUR LIBRARY
1. Make a Test File that will have a different set of animations.

2. Press H and Select Bip01

3. Select Motion Tab
Load Biped File from Library

Open and Load Biped File into mesh

Open Track View

Highlight Notes and Delete the Tracks

Open Character Tool and Ignore Warning.

Load Note Keys

Choose Animation Segment and Open

Check Animation Segments.

Create a work file.

Select your animation sequence

Open track viewer and check you filter settings


Expand the tracks

Right click and select all

Zoom Horizontal Extents at the lower right corner to view the entire animation segments.

Select Edit Time

Press Right mouse button and Drag from start to end

Select Cut Time

Open Character tool and choose where animation segment will be placed

Select Zoom Horizontal to go to the animation segment

Position mouse to an area free of tracks.

Paste Time

Allow for more space

Go to the start and end of Inserted animation and space out the animation segment

Close Character Tool

Open Character Tool and view inserted animation. Notice that active defense is now beneath power animations.

Check the animations to see if it runs properly, and if it does not adjust it accordingly.
Make a Backup File that will have the animation you will be cutting and pasting.

Load a different set animations from the library you’ve made by following the instructions on LOADING ANIMATIONS FROM YOUR LIBRARY
Once you have done that successfully, save the file as a third file.

This will be where the animations are taken from and the temp will be where they will be put and the finished mesh and animations will be saved as the appropriate file.
Once save, open the Character Tool and select the animation that you wish to copy.

Open track viewer

Expand the tracks

Right click and select all

Zoom Horizontal Extents at the lower right corner to view the entire animation segments.

Select Edit Time

Press Right mouse button and Drag from start to end

Select Copy Time

Open the Temp File that will have the animation pasted on. Do not worry about saving changes unless you want to use again later.

Open the Character Tool and choose the very last animation. You can choose any segment you want this animation to be pasted at, but for this exercise we’re going to paste the animations at the end.

Open track viewer

Expand the tracks

Right click and select all

Zoom Horizontal Extents at the lower right corner to view the entire animation segments.

Select Edit Time

Position past the end of animation segment and select insert time

Select Paste Time

A window will appear.


Depending on your situation, select one or the other. For this exercise, I chose relative.
Pasted animation should appear

Open Character Tool and view animation and check for weirdness

Go back to the track viewer, and select Edit Time.

Postion Mouse on note and Right Click. A window will appear with the note properties.

Rename Note accordingly

Open the Character Tool and view the animation.
